Train Up: Guide Them, Show Them

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it .How vitally important it is to teach our children how to act and react to others.
I would take time with my daughter and go sit in disgust why people didn’t encourage each other why it was important to. At a very young age 3, 4, and 5, I started to teach her the importance of people not of their opinions by the value of their life. One day we sat and we’re watching Alice in Wonderland. For the first time I heard the phrase Happy Unbirthday.
That was it my simple fun way to teach Kris-Sondra how to show encouragement support and love for no reason other than the life of an individual matters. So I would randomly choose an individual who needed encouragement and we would go out and buy a cake or cupcakes a small thing of flowers maybe a maybe a gift maybe not and ring their doorbell. When they would answer we would say “Happy Unbirthday we love you and so does Christ and you matter to us”.
The point of this teaching was as Christians we are supposed to support each other all 365 days a year not just that one day that everyone in the world recognizes or remembers each individual. If you can take time today make a card, make a phone call, send a flower, or take a friend to lunch do it. Remember Christ took time to go and have dinner at Zacchaeus’s house he took time to go to the well and Samaria. We have to train our children and ourselves that showing the love of Christ takes time but it’s worth it for the kingdom. Have a blessed Tuesday.

First things first you have came to this page in wonders on how to live a faithful life as a teenager. Here are some of the topics that I feel should be covered.

  • What is it?
  • How do you get it?
  • What sustains it?

What is it; faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it.

How do you get it; Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” “Without faith it is impossible to please him…” God says we should have faith when it is impossible for us to have faith, we shall challenge ourselves to. But if he places it in ours hands (can be made) it is then up to us  whether we have faith. The Bible says faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word.

What sustains it; sustaining your faith through hard times or just in general is key through prayer. You need to know and remember that God has a plan for each and everyone of us and everything happens for a reason! Read the word of God and take in what the scriptures are saying, relate them to how you’re feeling, and believe.
